Thiruvananthapuram: Thiruvananthapuram NDA candidate and Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar visited LBS Institute of Technology for Women at Poojappura, Thiruvananthapuram as part of his election campaign programme. During the visit, Rajeev Chandrasekhar interacted with the students at the college. Rajeev Chandrasekhar assured to take efforts towards establishing Thiruvananthapuram as a Science and Technology (SciTech) hub.
The engineering students were very excited to interact with Rajeev Chandrasekhar upon learning that the NDA candidate for the Thiruvananthapuram constituency is a ‘techie.’ The students also expressed the need for a technically proficient MP from Thiruvananthapuram. They also shared their concerns with him about leaving Kerala to pursue higher education abroad.
Rajeev Chandrasekhar talked with students on advanced topics like Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology and digital privacy. He expressed his excitement to have the opportunity to interact with the new generation of students on his favourite subjects.
Rajeev Chandrasekhar said that the Central government is ensuring skill development along with quality education. He then added that as part of that, the Central government has initiated ten Atal Tinkering Labs (ATL) in Thiruvananthapuram.
Rajeev Chandrasekhar assured that if he wins and becomes an MP, he will make Thiruvananthapuram a Science and Technology (SciTech) hub. He also added that technical skill development centers will be initiated in all schools within the next five years.
The LBS College Principal Dr. J Jayamohan and Head of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) department Dr. Suma Shekhar, along with other faculty members from all departments and students, welcomed Rajeev Chandrasekhar.
