Thiruvananthapuram: Thiruvananthapuram’s NDA candidate, Rajeev Chandrasekhar criticized the ongoing protests by the Left and Congress parties regarding the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal in the liquor scam case. Rajeev Chandrasekhar labeled the protests as mere drama, stating that it is unsurprising for the Left and Congress to unite in such situations. He made these remarks while addressing the media.
“They are merely staging a drama over Kejriwal’s arrest. This is a facade of anger. The truth is known to the people of the country. Despite multiple notices from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to appear for questioning, Kejriwal chose to ignore them. His arrest is a consequence of disregarding the ED’s summons,” said Rajeev Chandrasekhar. He further questioned Kejriwal’s failure to appear before the ED and asserted that both CPI(M) and Congress have lost their base and public support.
