New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced its fifth list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. BJP Kerala State President K. Surendran will contest in Wayanad, with Dr. TN Sarasu, former principal of Government Victoria College Palakkad, as the candidate for Alathur, Dr. KS Radhakrishnan in Ernakulam, and actor G Krishnakumar in Kollam.
Actress Kangana Ranaut and actor Arun Govil have also made it to the BJP’s list of candidates. The BJP’s list comprises a total of 111 individuals, spanning states like Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Goa, Haryana, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Mizoram, Odisha, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal.
In Uttar Pradesh, veteran leader Maneka Gandhi will contest from Sultanpur, while Jitin Prasada will contest from Pilibhit. Additionally, businessman Naveen Jindal, who recently joined the BJP, will be making his electoral debut from Kurukshetra.
BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra will be contesting from Puri, and Sita Soren, the wife of Hemant Soren’s brother, who has recently switched allegiance with the BJP, will be contesting from Dumka.
