Thiruvananthapuram: Siddharth’s father, Jayaprakash, has voiced deep concern over the delay in the investigation into the death of his son, Siddharth, who was found hanged at Pookode Veterinary College hostel bathroom in Wayanad. Speaking to Janam TV, Jayaprakash expressed suspicions of sabotage in the case investigation, alleging the destruction of evidence. Jayaprakash announced his intention to meet with the governor to highlight the alleged mishandling of the case and the destruction of evidence. He emphasized the need for prompt action and vowed to protest alongside his family until justice is achieved.
Jayaprakash stated that the government is currently maintaining silence in this case. The government attempted to make everyone silent because society and the media turned against them in this case. That’s the sole reason behind the government’s intervention in the incident. Despite the acceptance of a Central Bureau Of Investigation (CBI) probe, Jayaprakash mentioned that the government has not handed over the case to the CBI.
Upon discovering that all the 33 students suspended from the college after an anti-ragging squad investigation had been reinstated, Jayaprakash questioned the basis for their reinstatement, hinting at possible political interference. He criticized the college Vice-Chancellor ‘s actions and raised concerns about unethical conduct, suggesting political influence behind the scenes.
