Alappuzha: Alappuzha NDA candidate Sobha Surendran stated that Congress leader Rahul, born with ‘golden spoon’, will face NDA candidate K Surendran, a grassroots leader who has always served the poor people, in Wayanad. She emphasized that Surendran, who is well aware of the real problems facing the people of Wayanad, can serve the constituency better than someone who is not familiar with the local issues.
Sobha Surendran mentioned that BJP Kerala State President K Surendran’s candidacy for the Lok Sabha seat presents a great opportunity to bring development to the people of Wayanad. She made these remarks while speaking at the Alappuzha Lok Sabha election convention.
Addressing the audience, Sobha Surendran asserted that Rahul is poised to face a significant defeat due to the leadership guidance provided by Alappuzha Congress candidate and AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal. She also blamed KC Venugopal for the Congress party’s loss, saying that he had neglected senior leaders of the Congress party.
Sobha Surendran also spoke about the growth of the BJP in the country through developmental projects for the people.
She criticized Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for neglecting public issues, accusing him of being focused on the financial betterment of his own family while the state faces numerous financial crises. She added that the extravagance of the LDF government serves as a clear example of the CPI(M) neglecting the issues of the poor.
Sobha Surendran highlighted that the BJP’s vote share in the Alappuzha Lok Sabha constituency was 19,000 in 2009, 43,000 in 2014, and 187,000 in 2019, demonstrating the party’s increasing acceptance among the people and expressing confidence in winning the election.
She pointed out that the growth of the BJP stems from the collective efforts of every party member in promoting the developmental projects and schemes initiated by the BJP government to reach the grassroots level of the country’s population.
