Thiruvananthapuram: BJP Kerala state Spokesperson Sandeep Vachaspati responded to Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan’s recent speech on ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ at Malappuram. Pinarayi Vijayan, while addressing a rally against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), made a remark that the slogan ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ was coined by a Muslim and questioned whether the BJP would ban it.
Following this, widespread protests have been raised against Pinarayi Vijayan’s provocative speech as part of his Muslim favouritism.
In response to Pinarayi Vijayan’s provocative remarks, Sandeep Vachaspati noted on social media that it is the duty of every patriot to praise and respect Bharat. He mentioned that whoever praises the country, the BJP will respect them.
Sandeep Vachaspati also stated that Pinarayi Vijayan is misinforming about the BJP government’s approach to secularism.
The BJP leader added that it is the duty of every patriot to praise and respect Bharat. He mentioned that whoever praises the country, the BJP will respect and consider them, and it will continue.
Sandeep Vachaspati again pointed out that the BJP does not have any doubt about the patriotism of Muslims in this country. It is also true that the freedom of our country was a result of Hindus and Muslims joining hands. They jointly served for the freedom of the country.
Sandeep Vachaspati has accused Pinarayi Vijayan of spreading religious discrimination.
Sandeep Vachaspati questioned whether Pinarayi Vijayan would accept that ‘Bharatam’ is our mother country. He again questioned whether Pinarayi Vijayan would accept Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati and his Arya Samajam, which inspired Azimullah Khan to take part in the ‘first war of independence’ in 1857. Then he again asked whether Pinarayi Vijayan would raise ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ at least to express Muslim favouritism. BJP leaders and patriots raise the slogan every day. He then again questioned whether Pinarayi Vijayan has ever raised the slogan in his life so far.
Sandeep Vachaspati clarified through his post that the BJP is never anti-Muslim.
