Kasaragod: The submission of nomination papers for candidates contesting in the second phase of the upcoming Lok Sabha election, including Kerala, has commenced today.
Ashwini ML, the NDA candidate for Kasaragod, has submitted her nomination papers to the Kasaragod district Collector, K Inbasekar.
The process of filing nominations for 88 parliamentary seats across 12 States (including Kerala) in the second phase of the 18th Lok Sabha elections began today, as announced by the Election Commission. Candidates can file nominations from 11 am to 3 pm. The last date for filing nomination papers is April 4, and the scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on April 5.
The upcoming Lok Sabha election in Kerala will be held in a single phase on April 26, with 20 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state.
Yesterday, on March 27, the submission of nomination papers for the first phase of the Lok Sabha election ended. The first phase of voting will be held on April 19, including thirty-nine seats in Tamil Nadu. Scrutiny will take place on March 28, and the last date for withdrawal of nominations is March 30.
The 18th Lok Sabha elections for the country will be held in seven phases across 543 constituencies.
