Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department has stated that there is a possibility of rain with thunder in various districts of the state. According to the IMD, there is a possibility of rain accompanied by thunderstorm in isolated places in Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Kollam, and Alappuzha districts. Strong winds, reaching speeds of up to 20 km/h, are also anticipated in these areas.
Meanwhile, the IMD predicts a possibility of a temperature hike in the state from March 28 to April 1. Kollam, Thrissur, and Palakkad districts are likely to experience a temperature hike, with temperature soaring to a maximum of 39 degrees Celsius. Pathanamthitta and Kottayam districts are expected to experience temperature reaching up to 38 degrees Celsius.
Furthermore, IMD forecasts suggest that Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Kozhikode, and Kannur districts may witness temperature rising up to 37 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, the Thiruvananthapuram district is expected to experience temperature reaching up to 36 degrees Celsius.
