Thiruvananthapuram: Union Minister of State and NDA candidate from Attingal constituency V Muraleedharan said that the policy of the central government and the BJP is to bring the backward classes into the mainstream. The Union Minister said that the Prime Minister has assured that everyone’s welfare will be ensured. He was talking to the media persons during the election campaign.

Muraleedharan said that the Center is discussing all measures to bring the backward classes into the mainstream. He mentioned that the central government’s primary objective is to ensure that the weaker section of society gets benefits.

Muraleedharan added that both the central government and the BJP have no policy of treating the backward class as a vote bank. He mentioned that the Modi government is a government that fulfills its promises. Muraleedharan also noted that the Backward Classes Commission was given constitutional status to ensure the welfare of these communities. He further mentioned that 50 percent of the people in the Union Cabinet belong to backward classes.

Muraleedharan remarked that it was the Modi government that had ensured constitutional participation for the backward classes. He mentioned that those who made promises during the last elections had forgotten all that. Muraleedharan added that the Modi government is a government that implements what it declares. He further stated that immediate steps would be taken to ensure that the amount allotted to the backward sections is properly delivered to the deserving ones.
