Thiruvananthapuram: Jayaprakash, the father of Siddharth, has accused the government of sabotaging the CBI investigation into his son’s death case, claiming that they are reluctant to take action against the perpetrators. He asserted that the report presented in Delhi was made to deceive others and that the government intentionally sabotaged the case within a mere 20 days to destroy crucial evidence. The CBI has yet to initiate an investigation, and Jayaprakash blames the Home Department’s secretary for the oversight.
Speaking to the media, Siddharth’s father held the Chief Minister accountable for the situation. He criticized the Animal Husbandry Department for its failure to act against Dean. He alleged favoritism towards the son of VC’s assistant secretary, Sheeba, and vowed to stage protests in front of the Cliff House to demand justice.
Jayaprakash demanded action against individuals involved in assaulting his son, including Bincy, who lodged a false complaint, Dean, Siddharth’s roommate Akshay, and the girls implicated in the case. He claimed that Bincy’s mother holds a position in the commissioner’s office and accused Akshay of receiving protection from former Minister MM Mani. Furthermore, he mentioned the cook who witnessed Dean removing Siddharth’s dead body after it was found hanging, was deported.
Expressing frustration with the government’s inaction, Siddharth’s father warned of further protests if action is not taken promptly. He said that he sought support from others due to the government’s wrongdoing. He also added that seeking help from the communist party might put his life in danger as well.
