Thiruvananthapuram: A yellow alert has been declared in 12 districts, with concerns raised over rising temperature, potentially reaching up to three degrees Celsius above the current level.
The affected districts, including Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Malappuram, Palakkad, Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kasaragod, are expected to experience a temperature hike until April 4th. Except in the hilly regions of these districts, there is a chance of experiencing a temperature hike in other areas.
Meanwhile, Thrissur district has recorded the highest temperature hike in the state, soaring up to 40 degrees Celsius in recent days. Despite the temperature hike alert , the Meteorological Research Center suggests the possibility of rainfall in some districts, offering a glimmer of relief amidst the sweltering conditions.
