Kottayam: A complaint has been filed with the Kerala Chief Election Officer stating that campaign posters and banners of Kottayam NDA candidate Thushar Vellappally were damaged by some government officials.
The complaint lodged by the NDA district Chairman, G Lijin Lal, stated that certain government officials damaged the displayed posters of Thushar Vellappally. The complaint mentioned that the candidate’s displayed election symbol had not yet been officially allocated to him.
But, the complaint filed by Lijin Lal asserts that the BDJS, an alliance party of NDA, has an official order stating that ‘Pot’ is the BDJS’s election symbol.
The complaint highlights that posters in the regions of Vaikom-Aymanam were mostly damaged.
