Kollam: Kollam residents directed their queries to Mukesh, the LDF candidate for the Kollam constituency in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, seeking updates on the developments he has initiated during his tenure as the MLA over the past five years.
However, Mukesh took the concerns of the residents very lightly. In a Facebook post, he casually asked whether the residents did not have dreams for their beloved Kollam. He stated, “Do you not have dreams for Kollam? Shouldn’t it be your dreams for Kollam that should be reflected in the election manifesto of the candidate?”
Mukesh further asked, “In which area do you envision progress? What are your thoughts for the future of Kollam?” He invited residents to contribute their suggestions to the LDF candidate’s election manifesto for the Kollam Parliamentary Constituency.
However, the local residents insist that Mukesh talk about the developments he has brought in Kollam during his five-year tenure as MLA. Some residents even remark that it’s unnecessary for the residents to discuss future development plans for Kollam when Mukesh, as the current MLA, should already be aware of them.
Criticism are arising, with some stating that such discussions only surface during election times, highlighting discontent with Mukesh’s lack of action in bringing development to the area and his continued absence from his constituency as an MLA. Concerns were also raised about the state of the Kollam bus stand and the need of toilet facilities, highlighting the dissatisfaction among residents regarding Mukesh’s performance as their local representative.
