Thiruvananthapuram: Attingal NDA candidate V Muraleedharan severely criticized the CPI(M) in connection with the Karuvannur Cooperative bank scam. He questioned CPI(M) leaders who raise their voice against electoral bonds while having fake accounts in cooperative banks. Muraleedharan said this while addressing the media.
Muraleedharan stated that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has found that the CPI(M) has 15 fake accounts in Thrissur alone. He added that these accounts are all used for transactions of black money. Furthermore, he mentioned that if Thrissur alone has these many accounts, conducting an investigation throughout Kerala would likely reveal a much larger scale of the issue.
Muraleedharan then claimed that if questioned about the ‘Karuvannur scam,’ Kerala CM Pinarayi will stop the press conference and will avoid questions, yet they express significant interest in electoral bonds. He questioned whether transparency is only necessary in electoral bonds.
Muraleedharan reiterated that Pinarayi Vijayan had not yet responded on the ‘monthly payment scam’ case. He then commented that those who have no answer regarding the Karuvannur scam and monthly payment scam are campaigning against electoral bonds. If the information regarding the Karuvannur scam case is wrong, they should file a case against the ED, said Muraleedharan.
Muraleedharan also pointed out that the recent Supreme Court judgment clearly exhibits that the Pinarayi government is propagating fake information about the Central government’s fund allocation to Kerala.
