Pathanamthitta: Pathanamthitta NDA candidate Anil Antony has filed his nomination for the upcoming Lok Sabha election with the Pathanamthitta District Collector Prem Krishnan. PC George handed over the election deposit amount for Anil Antony’s Lok Sabha candidacy at the Parliamentary Constituency Convention programme.

Anil Antony submitted the nomination in the presence of several BJP leaders, including BJP Kerala State Secretary Karamana Jayan and BJP Pathanamthitta District President Adv. VA Sooraj, and BDJS Pathanamthitta District President Dr. Ananth Raj. Accompanied by hundreds of BJP activists, Anil Antony marched to the Pathanamthitta Collectorate from the NDA Pathanamthitta Parliamentary Constituency Election Committee office before submitting the nomination.

After submitting the nomination, Anil Antony confidently stated to the media that the Bharat people who rejected Rahul in 2014 and 2019 will also reject him in 2024. He confirmed that Narendra Modi will come to power for the third tenure, highlighting Modi’s contributions to national development.

Anil Antony emphasized Pathanamthitta’s potential for development and questioned the incumbent MP, Anto Antony, on his contributions over the last 15 years, noting the lack of IT parks, higher education institutes, and basic infrastructure in the constituency.

Anil Antony then criticized former Minister Thomas Issac for his lack of effort towards regional development despite being State Minister multiple times. Then he said that he joined the BJP only because of its importance in national development.

Anil Antony blamed sitting MP Anto Antony, who insulted the Indian Army in connection with the Pulwama terror attack of 2019, merely for the sake of securing votes from the minority community. Anil Antony strongly stated that it would be better for Anto Antony, who rejects Bharat, to go and work in Pakistan.

Antony also criticized the Kerala state government for its inaction against wildlife attacks in Kerala and assured the people of Pathanamthitta that he would take necessary measures to prevent such incidents.
