Thiruvananthapuram: As the temperature hike continues to grip Kerala, a much-needed relief is on the horizon, as seven districts in Kerala are likely to experience summer rain today. Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, and Ernakulam districts are likely to experience light showers today, providing some relief from the sweltering heat.
However, alongside the anticipated summer rainfall, the Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) has issued warning of high waves, sea attacks, and the potential for a black sea phenomenon along Kerala coast.
As part of the black sea phenomenon, waves may reach a height of 0.5 to 1.2 metres on the Kerala coast until 11:30 p.m. tonight. Fishermen and coastal residents should be alert, as there is a threat of a sea attack. The INCOIS has informed that trips to the beach should be completely avoided.
