Kozhikode: Minister of Women and Child Development of India, Smriti Irani, has arrived in Kozhikode. The Union Minister, who reached Kozhikode, will go to Wayanad by helicopter. Smriti Irani came to Kerala to participate in the submission of nomination papers of K. Surendran for the Lok Sabha election.
Smriti Irani will participate in the roadshow in Kalpetta as part of the election campaign. She is the NDA candidate from the Amethi constituency in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Smriti Irani won the last Lok Sabha election from the Amethi constituency with a majority of 55,120 votes against Rahul Gandhi in 2019.
Today marks the deadline for the submission of nomination papers for contesting in the upcoming Lok Sabha election. Prominent NDA candidates, including V. Muraleedharan from the Attingal Lok Sabha constituency, Rajeev Chandrasekhar from Thiruvananthapuram constituency, and Suresh Gopi from Thrissur constituency, are set to file their nomination papers today.
