Thiruvananthapuram: David Muthappan, a native of Anchuthengu who was stranded on the battlefield in Russia, has safely returned home. Upon his arrival, he expressed gratitude to Union Minister of States V Muraleedharan. He reached Thiruvananthapuram railway station by train from Delhi last night. David, who arrived in New Delhi two days ago, came to Kerala after giving a statement at the CBI office.
David mentioned that it was wonderful to be back in the country and that he returned with the help of many people. He recounted his experience of being sent to the warfront after a month of training, where he had thought he might not survive. He shared that he had witnessed distressing scenes of corpses and had never imagined he would make it back home.
David was lured to Russia by a travel agent from Thumba, promising a security job. In addition to David, Prince Sebastian, who was also stranded in Russia, returned home yesterday. Prince returned home with a serious leg injury sustained from gunfire near the Ukrainian border. The Ministry of External Affairs has stated that efforts are underway to locate Tinu and Vineeth, who are also stranded in Russia along with them.
