New Delhi: The Supreme Court has directed the State Education Department to immediately appoint High School Malayalam Teachers in Wayanad. The order was issued to Rani George, Principal Secretary of General Education Department. This action comes in response to a contempt of court petition alleging deliberate non-compliance with the order regarding the appointment of High School Malayalam Teachers in Wayanad.
Last year, the Supreme Court had instructed the General Education Department to appoint Avinash P, Ralie PR, Johnson EV, and Sheema M, who were listed in the 2011 PSC mark list, as High School Malayalam Teachers in Wayanad district. However, the court noted that the appointments were intentionally not carried out. The Supreme Court has mandated that this order must be implemented by the 10th of this month, warning of strict actions against the principal secretary if not adhered to.
