Wayanad: The CBI will take statements from the parents of Siddharth, who died mysteriously in the Pookode Veterinary College hostel. For this, the CBI directed Siddharth’s family to reach Wayanad on Tuesday. CBI officials from Delhi are investigating the case.
The CBI officials who reached Wayanad yesterday met with DYSP Kalpetta and exchanged preliminary information related to the case.
The High Court had directed the central government to transfer Siddharth’s death case to the CBI. The court criticized the state government, stating that each delay in the case creates loopholes for criminals to escape, and such delays should not be encouraged. Subsequently, a notification for a CBI investigation was issued.
Meanwhile, Siddharth’s father, Jayaprakash, visited the college hostel on Wednesday (April 3rd), where Siddharth was subjected to mob trial. He stated that he would hand over more evidence related to the case to the CBI.
The state government has directed the DGP to provide all assistance to the CBI. It has been suggested that police personnel and vehicles should be provided, along with ensuring the services of intelligence and forensic teams. The Ministry of Home Affairs issued an order in this regard.
