Thiruvananthapuram: The Education Department in Kerala has taken decisive action by imposing a ban on vacation classes in schools under the state syllabus. Minister of General Education V Sivankutty highlighted that he is receiving many complaints from parents and students regarding vacation classes. The ban extends not only to the vacation classes but also prohibits the collection of any fees from parents in the name of vacation classes.
Minister V. Sivankutty added that Kerala is currently experiencing a severe temperature hike, which can cause mental and physical difficulties in children. Therefore, vacation classes are not to be conducted.
Meanwhile, parents are sending their children to tuition classes independently. Minister Sivankutty added that there is no intention to impose any kind of control in this regard.
