Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala State Electricity Board has come forth to assure the water level in the major dams and has requested to not spread fake news.
KSEB posted on Facebook, ” All the major dams of KSEB’s Idukki, Pampa, Kakki, Sholayar, Idamalayar, Kundala and Mattupetty areas currently have less than 30% water. (Idukki has only 30% water level today). There has been a lot of fake propaganda going on in the social media claiming that all these dams have been opened. Only a few small dams had to be opened. It is requested not to spread the message that the every dams have been left open.”
Heavy rains continue to lash in Kerala and is expected to continue for two more days. The Kerala state government has asked the people to be alert and vigilant and shift to relief camps if the condition gets worse.
