Thiruvananthapuram: The doors to the Sabarimala temple will be closing today after thulamasa pooja. On the fifth day five of its opening, 10 women of menstrual age have tried to enter the temple so far.
The women even with ample police protection had to return from their attempt to enter the temple amid strong protest of devotees.
Meantime the Supreme Court will open today after Navrathri pooja holidays. Review plea on Sabarimala woman entry is not included in the list of cases to be considered today.
A total of 26 review pleas have been reached by now, including that of Ayyappa Sewa Sangham, before the Supreme court. Devaswom Board has informed that it will not submit any review plea in this regard.The board will bring the court’s attention on the present situation of women entry instead. It was informed that veteran advocate Manu Abhishek Singhvi is assigned for the same,but Singhvi has revealed that no one has approached him related to this matter.
Devotees do hope for a change in the court verdict before next Sabarimala season.
