New Delhi : Devaswom Board members will meet with CM today, to finalize the petition, which will be submitted to the Supreme court for women entry.
State Government backed women entry to Sabarimala in Supreme Court. However the protest of the people had shook all the attempts of the Government to implement the law. The Government is scared to reveal the truth as it may strike the Government back as a double edged knife. To admit the failure to execute the judgement may be considered as disrespect to the court order. The Government has to be very careful on admitting the fact that the law cannot be implemented because of the high resistance from the devotees.
In relation to Sabarimala there are 25 petitions which have been submitted to the Supreme court, while considering these petitions the affidavit by the Government will also be discussed.
11 years back at the time of V S Achuthanandan as the CM of Kerala, the court has ordered to appoint a bench inclusive of people who are prominent in Hindu Dharma Shastra and also people from Social reformation realm to study the relevance of women of all age to enter Sabarimala. The Government pleader Jaideep Gupta had consciously hidden this from the constitutional bench at the time of hearing.
The report from the State Government must reflect all these facts is an irony, hence the Government is handling the same with high tension and pressure.
