Thiruvananthapuram: National Commission for Minorities vice chairman George Kurian has written a letter to the Union Minister Amit Shah, requesting to raise the matter, regarding forceful conversion. NCM vice chairman has informed that Christian girls are being targeted by the Islamic radicals in Kerala for conversion.
George Kurian, in his letter to Amit Shah, mentioned that Christian community too has become a target. Recently,a man hailing from Kozhikkode has filed a complaint that his daughter has been compelled to convert to Islam. The complaint says that his daughter was drugged, tortured and then her nude pictures were taken.The girl was blackmailed and threatened by the accused.
National Commission for Minorities has received complaints from some other parents as well.
George Kurian added that out of the 21 people who had joined IS from Kerala, five were converted from Christianity.
