Kozhikode: The investigation into the murder spree at Kudathai in Kozhikode, in which 6 members of a family were poisoned to death, has been extended into different angles. The police have questioned and released him on the condition that he do not leave the district. Shaju also alleged that his father also knows more about the murders.

Jolly is alleged to have murdered six members of her family over a period of 14 years by poisoning them with cyanide mixed in food. Her murder spree was to attain property and to marry her former husband’s cousin brother, Shaju.

The victims include her former husband, Roy and his parents. Roy’s mother’s brother and his unlce’s daughter-in-law and her two year old daughter.

The murders have shocked the consciousness of the  Kerala society which boast of education and high living standards. There are also allegations that local leaders of political parties like CPI(M) and Muslim League are involved in the land dealings of Jolly. Reports are coming that CPI(M) has thrown out one of its local leaders involved in the case.

The killer lady also impersonated as a guest lecturer at the NIT Engineering College of Kozhikode. During the police questioning she confessed that she was a B.com graduate and was working at a beauty parlor.
