Thiruvananthapuram: AP Abdullakutty has been appointed as BJP’s state Vice-President, announced BJP state President PS Sreedharan Pillai.
Abdullakutty was expected to be the BJP’s candidate from Manjeswaram for the by-election but Ravisha Tantri was given the candidature.
AP Abdullakutty was former SFI state President. The CPM ousted Abdullakutty in 2009 following a pro-Modi statement. And then came to Congress who won as an MLA from the Kannur Assembly constituency in 2011.
He also got expelled from Congress after praising Narendra Modi followed by which he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party.
