Thiruvananthapuram: BJP SC Morcha today staged a protest against Law Minister, A. K. Balan, against the acquittal of all the accused in the rape and murder of two Dalit minor sisters at Walayar in Palakkad in 2017.
The three accused V. Madhu, M. Madhu, and Shibu were arrested after two sisters aged 13 and 9 were found hanging at their home. It is now revealed that the younger girl was witness to the murder of her elder sister. However, the police failed to investigate the death properly.
After two months the younger sister was also found dead. The post mortem report clearly states that both were raped.
Kerala is shocked that all the accused, which include members of CPI(M), were let off after police and the prosecution colluded to help the accused escape the law.
BJP SC Morcha marched towards the residence of the Law Minister of the state, A. K. Balan, who is considered close to the Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan.
