New Delhi: The Supreme Court will deliver its much-awaited verdict on the review petitions on Sabarimala tomorrow. The five-judge Constitutional bench led by Chief Justice of India, Ranjan Gogoi, will deliver the crucial verdict at 10.30 in the morning.
The Supreme Court had in its verdict on 28 September 2018, allowed women of menstruating age, to enter the holy shrine to worship Lord Ayyappa. The verdict led to a huge protest against the verdict by millions of Ayyappa devotees across the world. The verdict also led to a standoff between the communist government of Kerala and the devotees who prevented the government from taking women to the shrine.
Review petitions were submitted against the verdict of the Supreme Court.
