Another love jihad case: Kerala police says cannot arrest accused in sexual molestation unless victim is dead

Malappuram: In a shocking love jihad incident, a teacher  in Malappuram district was sexually molested by a Muslim man with promise of marriage and later circulated her nude pictures and phone number on social media. She was also asked to convert to Islam. The accused, Mohammad Hafeez, has fled to the gulf.

What is more shocking is the apathy shown by the police to nab Mohammad. The victim was harassed by the police by calling her to the police station many times.

Further, the police gave a bizarre explanation that as the accused is abroad, they can arrest him only after the victim is dead.

The victim and the accused are college teachers. They were in a relation for four years and the accused sexually molested her many times with the promise of marriage.

Mohammad fled to the gulf and is currently working as an Administration Manager in a garment company. He already has a case against him for taking pictures of a housewife while she was bathing. Though, he is an accused the police failed to conduct a proper investigation.

The police have now jumped into action only after the victim came out into the open and accused the police of inaction.
