New Delhi: Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, has assured CBI inquiry into the suicide of Madras IIT student, Fathima Latheef, who was found hanging at her hostel room. She had named those responsible for her suicide on her mobile. The family of the deceased accused the Chennai police for shoddy investigation.
The Union Minister gave his assurance to Fathima’s parents.
Fathima’s father, Abdul Latheef, has also accused a few students including NRI students for being behind the death of his daughter. He made it clear that he will approach the High Court with the full details of all those responsible for Fathima’s suicide.
Fatima Latheef was a first year Humanities and Social Science student at the Madras IIT. She had secured the first rank in the entrance examination. She was discovered dead after she failed to come for breakfast. Fathima’s family allege foul play behind her suicide and demanded a thorough inquiry in to her death.
