Kasaragod: Kerala’s highest bridge was inaugurated at the hands of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday. The 120-m-long bridge is built across Chandragiri river and it will be developed as a tourist spot said officials.
The Ayamkadavu bridge was constructed at a cost of Rs 14 crore to be included in the Kasaragod development project. Till then, people relied on boats to travel from one side to another.The bridge connects summits of two hills and offers a breathtaking view of the area.
Chief Minister said that a tourist centre will be developed around the bridge to boost the economy of the place.
The function was presided by Revenue minister E Chandrasekharan and Kasaragod MP Rajmohan Unnitan was the chief guest.
