Thrissur: SFI goons of Kerala Varma College brutally thrashed ABVP workers on Wednesday morning. Two ABVP workers were seriously injured in the attack and taken to a nearby private hospital.
A seminar was held on Tuesday by ABVP workers on Citizenship Amendment Act followed by which the SFI attacked ABVP workers who headed the seminar. The students said that they were dragged ruthlessly out of the class and assaulted them and the teachers came in for the rescue of ABVP workers.
Earlier, SFI goons protested against the ABVP’s Seminar on Citizenship Amendment Act. The SFI had also threatened ABVP to not conduct the seminar. SFI had also stopped the Chief Guest TR Ramesh who arrived to attend the seminar. Later with the intervention of the police, the SFI activist were removed from the premises.
The two sides had a heated argument over the seminar today morning. This was followed by the brutal assault of ABVP workers by SFI goons.
