Kannur: Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa was attacked by DYFI goons in Kannur today. Yediyurappa had arrived in Kerala on Monday to pay visit to temples including Guruvayoor.
DYFI goons attacked the Chief Minister when he came to Thiruvarkat Bhagavathi temple at Madayikkavu in Kannur. The DYFI goons hit the vehicle in which the Chief Minister was travelling. According to reports, effective intervention of the driver helped to save the Chief Minister. There are allegations that there were no security precautions from the police, in spite of knowing about his visit.
At Pazhayangadi, DYFI goons and youth congress activists had protested upon his visit by waving black flag on the Chief Minister. However, one of the youth Congress activists was arrested for showing black flag against Yediyurappa.
