Kochi: A school in Kerala has made its students shout anti-India slogans as mark of protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). The incident took place at the Islamic Educational Trust High School at Muvattupuzha in Kerala. The students were made to raise anti-India slogans during the assembly.
The visuals of the students raising these slogans are now being shared widely in social media.
The school authorities are trying to put their politics forward by misleading young children who have no idea of CAA or about the issue. The Principal of the school is supporting the move and said that the parents of the children had themselves demanded such slogans must be raised by their children.
The slogans that these children raised are those which are used by political parties and fringe elements calling for riots. The Principal justifies the school’s decision as an attempt to protest against CAA. Using children for such activities have attracted widespread criticizism.
Surprisingly, when asked about the problems in the CAA, the headmistress replied that she doesn’t know how to answer that.
