Thiruvananthapuram: BJP leader K. Surendran has come down heavily against the opposition leader, Ramesh Chennithala, for blocking the Governor of Kerala, Arif Mohammad Khan, when he came to address the Assembly today morning.

Surendran said that the opposition blocking the Governor inside the Kerala Assembly was undemocratic and anti-social. He condemned the opposition MLAs action through his Facebook post.

He said that the people of Kerala has realized that Ramesh Chennithala is a dishonourable opposition leader. He added that by blocking and insulting the Governor of Kerala inside the Assembly, the opposition MLAs have proved that they are undemocratic and anti-socials.

The BJP leader also urged the Speaker to take actions against the erring members of the opposition.

Opposition MLAs tried to stop the Governor from reaching the podium and making the policy speech in the House. Slogans were raised against him and also placards were shown. The watch and ward had to forcibly remove the MLAs to let the Governor pass and make his speech.

Both the ruling and the opposition parties in Kerala are against Governor Arif Mohammad Khan for supporting the CAA.
