Wayanad: Sister Lucy, who has been in the news for standing against the powerful Catholic Church, said that she did not get justice from the Kerala police after she gave a complaint against the church. She added that she would approach the court to get justice.
The nun had complained that she is facing threat from the Church leadership.
The police on their part closed the investigation saying that there was no evidence in her complaint. However, the nun retorted that she had furnished evidence in her complaint and said that she would approach the court to get justice.
The police officially gave a letter citing that they have closed the investigation on her complaint. Earlier too, Sister Lucy had revealed that the police was favouring the other side.
Sister Lucy Kalappura was nun at the Franciscan Clarist Congregation before she was expelled for speaking against Bishop Franco Mulakkal who is an accused in raping a nun. She is also vocal about woman rights inside the Church and convents. This made her unfavourable with the Catholic Church.
