Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Governor, Arif Mohammad Khan, has come down heavily against the opposition parties for demanding the recall of the Governor. He said that this was an irresponsible move and it did not warrant a response from him.
Arif Mohammad Khan added that the opposition must read the Constitution.
He said that he came to Kerala as Governor not to engage in a duel with the government. This is his government according to the Indian Constitution as he is the head of it. He added that the government is working for the welfare of the people.
The Governor reminded that it is his duty to encourage the government when it does good things and to correct it when it errs. He said that it was his responsibility to correct the mistake of the government’s stand against CAA.
