Kochi: The Kerala Students Union, which is the Congress student’s wing in the state, has put up a poster that is insulting to Lord Krishna. The poster was put up by the KSU unit of Newman College in Thodupuzha in Idukki District. Subsequently, the convenor of Sabarimala Karma Samithi, S. J. R. Kumar, has given a complaint to the DGP.

The poster is an invitation to elect the best womanizer in the college. It depicts Sri Krishna taking a selfie with a group of naked women in a pond in the background posing for the shot. The insulting poster is now widely circulated in social media and is facing strong criticism from Hindu community.

The complaint submitted to the DGP says that the poster is meant to destroy the communal harmony and requests to take immediate action. Kumar warns that if no legal measures is not taken against the poster then there would be serious backlash against it.

S. J. R. Kumar also names Al Amir and Bajiyo for being behind the poster campaign. It poster is put up in the name of KSU unit of Newman’s College.

It must be noted here that a professor of Newman College, T. J. Joseph, was attacked and his hand chopped off in 2010, by Islamic extremists belonging to Popular Front of India. He was attacked for blasphemy and allegedly insulting the prophet Mohammad.

Instead of supporting T. J. Joseph, the management and the Christian Catholic Church began a character assassination of the Professor and even dismissed him from service.
