Thiruvananthapuram: Comptroller And Auditor General, in its shocking report, has seriously alleged Kerala Police as the former has detected grave mismanagement in the Police Department.
The crucial report reveals that guns and bullets are missing in high number. As per the report, 12,061 bullets were stolen and replaced by fake bullets.
The mismanagement points goes on like this- 25 rifles missing from SAP, 12000 bullets from Thrissur Police Academy and the box used to keep the bullets also has lack of congruence.
Meantime the police explanation describes that the guns were shifted to A R Camp and the matter had been informed to the chief of police.
DGP Lok Nath Behera has not commented on this grave allegations against Kerala Police. DGP told that he will submit a detailed report to the Public Accounts Committee for further investigation.
A G S Sunil Raj said, police reply to this issue is not at all satisfactory. Police justification is that the rifles were shifted to A R Camp, but when inquired, A R Camp authorities informed that they have not received any rifles, Sunil Raj added.
