Bengaluru: BJP State President, K. Surendran, has demanded that national agencies must investigate the slew of corruption cases in Kerala Police. He said that only investigations by national agencies can bring out the truth.
Surendran was speaking at the BJP office in Bengaluru during a visit there after being posted as the State President of BJP.
The BJP leader said that both the ruling Left Democratic Front led by the CPI(M) and the opposition United Democratic Front led by the Congress is betraying the people of Kerala. He added that only the BJP can expose this political nexus between these two fronts.
K. Surendran said that both the police chief, Lokanath Behera, and the government are under suspicion in the corruption allegations. He ridiculed that in such a situation the move of the government to appoint the Home Secretary to investigate the corruption charges is an attempt to fool the people.
The BJP state President also announced that the BJP will conduct state wide protests against the government.
