Kannur: The police have recovered plastic ball bombs from two covers at Pannur Thangal Peedikayil, which is known to be a stronghold of the extremist Islamic organization, SDPI.
The police, headed by Pannur CI Sreejith made the discovery after receiving a tip off. The bombs were found in plastic covers and were checked by bomb squad that reached the area.
The police say that the plastic ball bombs are different from the rest of the bombs that were recovered from these areas before. The police have discovered pipe bombs from the same area earlier too.
