New Delhi: Around 17 fishermen hailing from Kerala have been trapped in Iran following COVID-19 warning. All of them belong to the fishing villages of Vizhinjam, Poovar and Pozhiyoor of the capital city Thiruvananthapuram.
The Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan tweeted, ” Received reports on Indians including fishermen from Kerala stuck in Iran due to #COVID19. The fishermen had gone to Iran four months ago for fishing jobs. A total of 200 had travelled to Iran then.
