Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday rejected the opposition’s demand for a CBI probe into the CAG report. He lashed at the Opposition saying that the bullets went missing during the UDF’s reign and it was put out of sight.
The Chief Minister said that disclosure of CAG report on the missing arms and ammunition is a serious matter. He assured that the responsible police officer has been arrested and the case is being investigated constructively. The guns have not been misplaced.
He stated in the Assembly that the CAG report is baseless and it should be reviewed by the Public Accounts Committee.
The Opposition in the House demanded that the CAG report be discussed during the session. Opposition members raised banners and protested in the House.
