Kochi: Sunil P. Ilayidom is a leading left intellectual in Kerala who has been spewing venom against nationalist forces in the state and in India. His latest attempt is to create communal hatred in society by posting a picture of a Syrian woman and her children in war torn Syria and passing it off as a victim of Delhi riots.
Sunil P. Ilayidom has also captioned the 2014 picture as ‘Bharat Matha’ in a twisted attempt to create communal hatred and violence in Kerala. The social media has caught him red-handed and he is facing a backlash for trying to create communal tensions.
At first glance the picture looks as if an Indian Muslim woman is holding together her children during the communal riots that is raging in the country. It is meant to create a victimhood in the minority community.
Soon the social media exposed his bluff and brought out the truth of the picture. The woman and the children are really victims of the Syrian civil war waged by the Syrian government and the Islamic terrorists in Aleppo. The photo was taken in 2014 and shows the Muslim lady and her children crying because they lost their home in the war.
The left intellectual used this Syrian mother’s picture and tried to pass it on as an Indian Muslim woman only to create communal hatred. Many in social media are criticizing Sunil P. Ilayidom ‘s tactic to destroy the peace of the state and is demanding that a case be registered against him.
