Kollam: The six year old Devananda who went missing from her home was found dead in Ithikkara riverbank on February 28. The death of the child is one such mysterious as there were no signs of violence found on the body and the preliminary conclusion is that the child had drowned.
Chathannoor Assistant Police Commissioner George Koshy assessed the progress of the investigation. He went to her home late last night to whom the family members informed that they are suspicious of a local resident’s involvement in the tragedy.
As the family members are suspicious, police are preparing for a thorough interrogation. The police will interrogate all those who will be under suspicion. The police will also record statements from Devananda’s mother in the next few days.
The forensic team who were supposed to examine the areas from where the body was found, however did not make it. While residents and locals alike are skeptical, the police are in a state of fix on the post mortem report.
