Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala BJP President, K. Surendran, today criticized the state government for taking over the Theerthapada Mandapam by Revenue officials. He said that this move was a direct challenge against one community and shows the communal nature of the CPI(M) government.

K. Surendran lashed out against the state government while announcing the new state committee of the BJP.

The BJP leader said that the Theerthapada Mandapam takeover shows that the government’s intent to continuously harass one community and said that the BJP will conduct a mass movement against this communal approach of the government.

He also criticized Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, for mishandling the sudden strike of KSRTC yesterday at Thiruvananthapuram. One person died as the government bus service was blocked for hours and which led to the capital city coming to a stand-still.

The new BJP State Executive Committee announced by K. Surendran, brings together leaders from all walks of life and has the right mix of talent, age, experience, and wisdom. With no leaders being excluded from the new committee, K. Surendran has shown that there is no infighting in the party has claimed by the critics and the media.
