Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Tuesday reported six more confirmed cases of coronavirus. Thus the total number number of cases reached 12 in the state.
Classes and examinations for students till Class 7 in schools in the state will be cancelled and has instructed to shut till March 31 all vacation classes, tuition classes, anganwadis and madrasas.
However, exams for classes 8th, 9th and 10th standard will resume.
“Availability of sanitisers and masks will be ensured,” he ensured.
The Chief Minister said that legal actions will be taken against those hiding their travel history. Screening facilities at airports will be strengthened.
He has also instructed people to keep away from crowded places lie cinema theatres, religious institutions, and festivals of public gathering. The CM also urged the people to avoid visiting Sabarimala temple however daily rituals will be done in the temple.
