Pathanamthitta: The Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) President, N. Vasu, has requested the devotees to avoid visiting Sabarimala Temple to prevent the spread of Covid-19. The request from the TDB President comes after 12 people in the state are confirmed with Covid-19.
N. Vasu said, “I appeal to all devotees to avoid visiting Sabarimala Temple. Also, I request all temples to cancel festivals that involve public gatherings.”
Various cinema organizations in Kerala have decided to close cinema theaters in the state till 31 March to prevent the spread of the infection.
The Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan, said that an appeal will be send to all the people to avoid public gatherings in a bid to stop the spread of the novel corona virus. He also appealed to the people coming from Covid-19 affected countries to report to the health authorities.
He also warned against spreading fake news and rumours concerning Covid-19.
