Kochi: The convict P K Kunjananthan has been granted bail with conditions by the High Court and execution of the punishment suspended temporarily.
He had approached the court stating that he needs expert treatment for his illness. Under the recommendation of the Medical Board the HC granted him bail.
PK Kunjananthan was the 13th accused in the murder of Revolutionary Marxist Party (RMP) leader TP Chandrasekharan. TP was hacked to death on May 4, 2012 in Onchiyam, Kozhikode.
PK Kunjananthan was awarded life imprisonment by the trial court.
